DETAILS
This print is made as a Lambda exposure on Fuji Crystal Archive DP II, a traditional chromogenic (C-print) process that uses digital laser light instead of an enlarger but relies on the same RA-4 chemistry. DP II is Fuji’s most durable professional paper, and because it is silver halide–based, the dyes form within the emulsion rather than on the surface. The result is a true continuous-tone image with no visible dot pattern and a depth of color and smoothness that digital methods rarely replicate. This print has a velvet surface.
